Off the Web - Real World Marketing

Off Line Print Marketing

Don't expect all of your web site's prospective visitors to come flocking to your site from online marketing only. Take into consideration your current customers that are new to the internet or prospective customers that pick up your brochure and get excited to know they can visit you online.

  • Add your web address to ALL stationery*, business cards* and supplies with company address. You may be surprised who will contact you simply because you're online.
  • Create brochure to your customers announcing your new web site and the features it will offer them.
  • Advertise in newspapers and magazines
  • One company even put up a billboard simply saying, "Come visit us online at ...". I visited the site when I got home just to see what it was.
  • Television/radio commercials.
  • Bus stop bench Signs
  • Tote bags
  • Hats
  • Pens

Off Line Network Marketing

To get your feet wet, the best way to get the word out about your site, services and/or products is to find your local chamber and find events to attend. Take plenty of business cards and plan to exchange them with like-minded business people. Once you get in the habit of networking, you can consider joining the chamber for greater marketing benefits.

Other marketing suggestions:

  • Sponsor a lunch or other event
  • Tradeshow booths
  • Speak to local groups
  • Join a networking group
  • Go to industry conferences of your target audience
